Do you think of yourself as an advocate? As a Senior Games athlete, people notice the example you set. Your involvement shows how sports can transform and enhance anyone’s quality of life, no matter their age.
As an advocate for healthy aging, you have the power to help others experience the benefits of staying active.
The inaugural National Senior Games Week – a time to celebrate how Senior Games positively impact athletes and communities – is coming up March 18-24, 2024, and we invite you to champion this effort by encouraging your peers to move more through a sport.
Starting a physical activity can be intimidating. Here are three ways you can be a supportive influence for a new athlete.
- Be their workout buddy. Having an exercise partner can increase motivation and consistency.
- Encourage them to embrace small movements at first and know every step counts.
- Empower them to share their fitness goals on social media or with close friends/family.

The National Senior Games Association thanks you for your invaluable contributions in making the National Senior Games a vibrant and inclusive community where older adults can compete, connect and relish the joy of victory.
We are committed to highlighting your achievements and inspiring others to add life to their years through sports. By sharing your Senior Games story on places like social media and encouraging others to embrace an active lifestyle, you will help bring new athletes, volunteers and fans to The Games!
Thank you for being a driving force behind the Senior Games movement towards active aging and community engagement.
