National Senior Games Sports

Every sport at the National Senior Games offers a chance to own your health, connect with peers and prove you’re never too old to chase new goals. We offer two types of events:

  • Qualifying Events require you to qualify at a State Senior Games the year before the National Senior Games, usually by placing within your age group.
  • Open Events have no qualifying step. You can simply register and take part.

Some sports include both qualifying and open events. Road Race is a good example: the 1-Mile is open to everyone, while the 5K and 10K are qualifying events.
