Frank Geers
Frank Geers, President of The American Cornhole Organization, turned social cornhole into a sport that celebrates the game, the players and its worldwide appeal with the foundation of the ACO in 2005. Taking cornhole from the back yard to the front page of the Wall Street Journal has provided countless opportunities for partnership including The Carson Palmer Foundation, NASCAR, the National Senior Games, NFL Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime as well as collaboration on the soon to be released Cornhole Cookbook from Fox Chapel Publishing.
The creation of standardized rules and equipment, a professional cornhole status and ranking system, a nationwide tour includes a growing international presence (Canada, Europe, India, China, to name a few). Frank’s vision continues to manifest via the ever-growing rolls of players around the world, as well as products companies that have emerged to service their need for top quality equipment. The ACO tour welcomes players of all skill levels to play and to become a member of the ACO Family to earn points and compete for top tier prize money.
Geers, affectionately known as ‘The Cornhole Dude’ and the ACO Crew have most recently recommitted to the growth of the game via the creation of Monster Cornhole, a program designed to bring an all-new entry level option to the game where players can play, connect, and compete. This new way to both sharpen cornhole skills and create a community that welcomes players of all ages and from all walks of life further reinforces and celebrates all that is great about the game and the sport of cornhole.
Frank likes to remind us all, every chance he gets: ‘Keep on Pitchin!
