Deeana Pack
Deanna Pack first became involved with the Senior Games in June of 2017. She had just been hired as the Program Coordinator for the Alabama Governor’s Commission on Physical Fitness and Sports a month before the National Senior Games were held in Birmingham, AL. One of her first assignments was to assist the Alabama athletes at these Games and she was instantly hooked!
Deanna is a resident of Birmingham, AL where she lives with her husband of 23 years, Gregory Pack and their little dog, Max They have two daughters, Franki and Jess. Both girls have attended Auburn University with Franki graduating in 2012 and Jess set to graduate in May of 2023. In 2010, Deanna returned to college after leaving the Postal Service to stay at home and raise her girls. It took her nearly five years to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology w/Teacher Certification while driving a school bus and her persistence paid off when she was hired by the state and she began working at a job she has loved since day one.
Over the next few years, Deanna took over as the State Coordinator for the Alabama Senior Olympics. She will not hesitate to tell you, this is the favorite part of her job. Since, participation numbers have increased each year for the Alabama Senior Olympics and participants from her state attending the National Senior Games. She is driven to continue to see more and more senior athletes discover the benefits of participating in the Games!
