The National Senior Games have been recognized once again as a win for host communities.
The multi-sport championship for athletes 50 and over was recently named as a Champion of Economic Impact in Sports Tourism for the fifth time by Sports Destination Management.
The 2025 National Senior Games presented by Humana, held in Des Moines, Iowa, July 24 – Aug. 4, created an estimated $40.25 million in economic impact. That staggering number comes as no surprise – this year’s Games were the second largest in history with over 12,500 registered athletes!
Thank you to our partners at Catch Des Moines, local government officials, emergency management teams and the entire Des Moines community for welcoming our participants and making The Games a success.
