Gayle Collins

Gayle Collins currently serves as Southern Region Umpire-In-Chief (UIC) and Florida State Director for SSUSA Softball and was named Director of the Year for SSUSA in 2021. She umpired SPA Senior Softball from 2011-2015 and was honored with the Joe Lysaght Award in 2013. 

Gayle also served as Florida State Senior Softball Games Director in 2017 and 2018, UIC for the National Senior Games in 2022 and Softball Assistant Director for the National Senior Games in 2023. 

While being involved in sports for over 40 years, Gayle still runs a charity softball tournament which is in its 29th year in Central Florida. 

Gayle resides in Leesburg, Florida, with her husband of 25 years, five children, and nine grandchildren. She and her husband have also co-owned a concession business for the last eight years.
