Del Moon

Del has more than 35 years of communications and event experience. He was a print and television journalist and started events while earning his degree at LSU. He transitioned from media to public relations and earned communications and sponsorship marketing roles with large scale events including the International Special Olympic Games, US Olympic Festival, USA Track & Field Junior Olympics, and the US National Hot Air Balloon Championships. The 1996 Olympic and Paralympic Games brought him to Atlanta. Del's direction of the Torch Relay for the 2011 National Games led to his current role with the NSGA. Del serves as the key liason between the National Headquarters and Media. In addition, he is responsible for the NSGA Personal Best Tour and all communication/media collateral. He also is responisble for obtaining/editing and producing athlete coverage throughout the year, and particularly during the National Senior Games.
