Steve Kearney

Steve Kearney has served as USA Badminton Event Manager and advisor for the National Senior Games since 1999.

He was a top ranked badminton athlete in doubles and mixed doubles. He is past President of USA Badminton and worked on the Board of Directors for 12 years, as well on the USOC Olympic Committee board. Steve managed the sport of Badminton for the 1996 Olympic Games. He was the Team leader for 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, 2003 Pan Am Games in Dominican Republic. He has also managed the Badminton event for the Transplant Games in 2014 and 2016.

In addition, he worked for NBC television as Color Commentator for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Steve is currently working the Executive Director of Para-Badminton for USA Badminton which will make its debut in the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
