Opening Festival - Friday, July 19, 4:30-9:30pm
Mall B, Downtown Cleveland
Join your fellow athletes and the Cleveland community as we open the 2013 National Senior Games with the lighting of the Senior Games Torch on Mall B – next to the Convention Center in beautiful downtown Cleveland. The Opening Festival will be a free event with games, food trucks, a beer garden and entertainment.
The Flame Arrival Ceremony sponsored by AstraZeneca will begin at 8pm during the Opening Festival. The evening will be capped by a spectacular fireworks display, officially marketing the opening of the 2013 National Senior Games.

The 2013 Celebration of Athletes will be an inter-generational, explosive rock & roll event for athletes, their family and friends, and people of all ages. You won't want to miss the action as the 2013 National Senior Games rocks the Q and celebrates the incredible achievements of each of our athletes.
Cleveland Senior Walk

Please join us Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Mall C in Cleveland for the Cleveland Senior Walk, presented by the City of Cleveland Departments of Aging and Public Health, MetroHealth, YMCA of Cleveland, and the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging.
The Cleveland Senior Walk is a FREE COMMUNITY WALK to encourage health and physical activity for older adults! Pre-registered walkers will receive a t-shirt, healthy snacks, and free tools for active living. Stay after the Walk to:
- Enjoy the sounds of the TOPS Swing Band at 12pm
- Explore The Village sponsored by AstraZeneca (information below), including sponsor booths, giveaways and entertainment (FREE)
- Participate in health screenings and activities (FREE)
- Watch Senior Games athletes compete in badminton, 3-on-3 basketball, shuffleboard, and volleyball at the Convention Center and Public Hall (FREE)
- Grab your FREE ticket to the Celebration of Athletes, held Friday July 26 at Quicken Loans Arena
Age of Champions
Join us at each of the three campuses of Cuyahoga Community College (East, West, and Metro) for a showing of the "Age of Champions" documentary, a feature-length film celebration the charm and active spirit of seven athletes and their burning desire for gold at the 2009 Senior Games. The events will include dinner, and a discussion about how YOU can be a champion in your own life, and giveaways.

The Village will be the hub of the 2013 National Senior Games in Cleveland. Located in the brand new Cleveland Convention Center, The Village will be open daily from 8am-7pm from Friday, July 19-Thursday, August 1, 2013. The Village is centrally located in downtown Cleveland and is easily accessible through the RTA and our convenient shuttles to our downtown partner parking lots. Daily activities include:
- Sponsor booths with interactive activities and giveaways
- Interactive Sports Zone with several demonstration sports

- Village themed daily with a decade of music
