Minnesota Senior Games Coordinator
Fritz earned a degree in Recreation Management from the University of LaCrosse, WI and has been in recreation since 1983 when he accepted his first job in Gillette, WY working for the Campbell County Parks and Recreation Department. In 1998 he accepted the position as the Recreation Director for Lakes Area Recreation in Alexandria, MN.
Fritz has been involved with the senior games movement since 1987 when he served on the first organizational board which started the Wyoming Senior Olympics. He served on the Wyoming Senior Olympics Board for several years.
In 2007 he formed an inaugural board and established the Minnesota Senior Games as a standalone non-profit organization and he is the State Coordinator for the Minnesota Games. Fritz has also served on the NSGA Board of Directors since 2009.
Fritz was finally old enough to compete in the games and qualified to compete in the 2011 NSGA Houston Games in racquetball, where he earned a bronze medal. He is looking forward to competing in many more games in the future.
