Director of the Florida Senior Games State Championships

Stephen V. Rodriguez is the Sr. Vice President for the Florida Sports Foundation, a division of Enterprise Florida. In that capacity, Stephen is responsible for overseeing the organization’s events, namely the Florida Senior Games Series and Sunshine State Games, promoting amateur and recreational sport in Florida, servicing Florida’s 29 sport commissions, as well as working to promote Florida a premier sport tourism destination.

Throughout his entire life, Rodriguez has been involved in the industry of sport. Stephen was with the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sport prior to its merger with Florida Sports Foundation, working with the creation of the Olympic Spirit License Plate, Sunshine State Games and Florida Senior Games. Through this and his work with USA Track & Field Florida Association and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, Rodriguez has been involved with events such as USATF Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships, 2 Jr. Pan American Track & Field Championships, NAIA Spring Championship Games, NPAL Baseball World Series, USA Field Hockey Fall Festival, The Super Bowl NFL Flag Championship, International Judo Federation World Cup and more. In addition, he is involved with the YMCA of the Suncoast, St. Leo University School of Business has served on the Board of Directors of the National Congress of State Games, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Senior Games Association.

Stephen graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts from The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with major studies in Political Science. He is married to Madeline Rodriguez and father to Eleanor, Abigail and Gabriel.
