The City of Cleveland and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission are thrilled to be hosting the single largest visitor event in Cleveland in decades, the 2013 National Senior Games.  These games will be held July 19-August 1, 2013 and are expected to attract 10,000 participants between the ages of 50 and 100+.  These athletes are inspiring examples of health and vitality, and will each be competing in one or more of 19 medal-contending sports.

Want to get involved?

Companies, professional groups, sports teams, Boy/Girl Scout troops, summer camps, college groups, etc. are encouraged to consider becoming National Senior Games Cleveland Ambassadors.

Why be an NSG Cleveland Ambassador?

This is an incredible opportunity to show our over 25,000 expected visitors the support of the Cleveland community and allow them to experience the unique culture of our city.   Groups will have the opportunity to earn community service hours and badges, network, and participate in community engagement.  Don’t miss this opportunity to put your group’s mark on this incredible event in Cleveland’s history and embrace this exceptional group of visitors.

ATHLETES:

Cleveland’s residents can’t wait to welcome you to our city and show you the best of what Cleveland has to offer.  Be sure to look out for Cleveland Ambassadors at all of your events!  Community groups are interested in “adopting” basketball, volleyball, and softball  teams, so please reach out to Maura Garven at  mgarven@clevelandsports.org if your team is interested in being adopted.
